Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, AKU Health Services Pakistan, you will be responsible to assist, supervise, coordinate, and resolve hospital operational issues. You will act as a front-line representative for senior management, and liaison for all departments in order to ensure high-quality patient care, employee safety and campus security with 24/7 physical presence on the campus, essentially in off hours to provide coverage in evenings, nights and public holidays.
Specific responsibilities include to:
- anticipate and adapt to customer/patient needs and provide prompt services to internal and external customers
- facilitate communication between primary health care providers, ancillary and support departments while maintaining confidentiality as per the institutional policies
- identify issues of deviation from standards / policies that may have adverse impact on patient care, employee safety and campus security, and take corrective actions
- work closely with the management team and serve as a resource person to optimize the utilization of human resources, equipment and space
- inform the CEO in case of VVIP movements, accidents, internal/external disasters that require emergency alerts, enforcement of emergencies etc., and coordinate these activities through physical presence
- make comparisons of international best practices with the current processes in order to identify areas of improvement and share findings with the senior management
- liaise with nursing services for effective bed management., follow and ensure closure of all open entries that were referred to the concerned unit for further actions
- participate in different projects as assigned related to operations and patient-centered group initiatives
- conduct physical rounds to wards and ER to reinforce smooth services, identify and address any service gaps .
Requirements:
You should have:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university while having an MBBS degree would be an added advantage
- at least eight years of experience at a managerial level preferably in healthcare industry
- excellent skills in data analysis, data organization, and use of spreadsheets related to operations, finance, quality and any other aspect of business operations
- ability to effectively work with multidisciplinary teams of the organization in a professional and competent manner with a strong customer focus
- ability to work with minimal supervision and resolve issues independently
- adept in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
- ability to handle work pressure, stressful situations and meet stringent deadlines
- excellent interpersonal skills, particulary communication skillswillingness to work in all shifts (morning, evening and night).
