About the position...
Kornar Winmil Yunti Aboriginal Corporation (KWY) is seeking passionate and culturally aware Facilitators to deliver foundational English language, literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy
(LLND) training to First Nations participants in metropolitan Adelaide. This role is part of the federally funded SEE First Nations Delivery Grant initiative aimed at removing barriers to education and supporting Closing the Gap outcomes.
Fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities...
- Deliver accredited and approved non-accredited LLND training tailored to community needs
- Conduct Pre-Training Assessments and develop Customised Training Plans for each participant
- Maintain participant engagement and ensure culturally safe learning environments
- Perform progressive and completion assessments each semester
- Collect and report participant data using the SEE System
- Promote the program and attract participants through community engagement
- Support mentors and trainers in obtaining relevant certifications
- Manage feedback and complaints professionally
- Participate in audits, evaluations, and contribute to the final exit and embed strategy
About you...
The successful applicant will possess skills, experience, and knowledge in working with Aboriginal people to address Child Protection and Domestic and Family Violence concerns. The applicant will operate within a therapeutic, trauma-informed framework. The applicant would have demonstrated knowledge of case management and working with Aboriginal families.
Desirable...
- TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Design specialisation) or equivalent.
- Experience in co-designing LLND courses for First Nations communities.
- Knowledge of the SEE Program and Right Fit For Risk (RFFR) accreditation processes.
