Bayside Health is a public health service delivering high-quality care across every stage of life for close to 1.2 million people living in metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland. The Department
Alfred Mental & Addiction Health (AMAH) is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner Southeastern area of Melbourne.
Adult Inpatient Unit (IPU)
Our Adult Inpatient Mental and Addictions Health team is comprised of dedicated and compassionate mental health clinicians and lived experience workers. We celebrate diversity within our workforce and are a socially active team with a genuine interest in each other’s wellbeing. We set high standards and our team is committed to delivering timely and effective care to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and promoting recovery. We also value higher learning and have a supportive lived experience management team who are dedicated to supporting the professional growth of our lived experience workers.
The Role
Using your lived experience of mental distress and recovery, provide peer support and non-crisis interventions to consumers in the post discharge space for up to 28 days following discharge. You will be supported with line management and peer supervision in this role.

You will draw from your own lived experience of having a significant mental health challenge and the ability to use your experience to inspire hope and belief in recovery.
