• Band 7 salary, commencing at $56.73 per hour plus 12% superannuation (dependent on skills and experience)
The Opportunity
Oversee the delivery of services and systems that support safe, high-quality care in line with relevant legislation, standards and program guidelines. You will ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal and external governance bodies, while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will implement and monitor processes that strengthen clinical oversight, manage risk, and support informed decision-making. You will also provide leadership, training and expert guidance to the Aged and Disability Services workforce, ensuring best practice in care planning, risk assessment, and the ongoing support of clients receiving clinical services.
Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to Care Partners to ensure high-quality care planning, risk assessment and ongoing client monitoring
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and clinical reviews for complex and high-risk clients, identifying appropriate interventions and care strategies
• Liaise with and refer to external healthcare providers to support client needs
• Support the use of evidence-based assessment tools and promote best practice across the team
• Contribute to clinical governance through incident management, complaints handling, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with internal audits and monitor compliance with relevant aged care standards and procedures
• Provide advice to support service development, policy improvement and effective care delivery
• Deliver training and support systems that ensure safe, compliant care and accurate reporting to governance bodies
Key Requirements
• Registered Nurse Qualifications with current AHPRA registration
• Substantial experience in providing clinical leadership and oversight in an aged care setting supporting safe, high-quality, person-centred care
• Strong leadership and communication skills required to provide robust advice and build the clinical governance capabilities of staff, the leadership team and governance committee members
• Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and accreditation processes specific to aged care and disability services
• High level of proficiency in clinical documentation and record keeping
