The Role
Our Koroit site is a key part of Bega’s Nutritional & Ingredients division, supporting major dairy manufacturing operations. As the Environmental Manager, you’ll sit on the Site Leadership Team, lead three experienced direct reports, and oversee all environmental compliance, sustainability and resource‑efficiency initiatives.
This is a 12‑month maximum-term contract with relocation support available.
Responsibilities
Lead and maintain the Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance with EPA and regulatory requirements across the site.
Manage water, wastewater, and resource efficiency, including treatment systems, usage monitoring and trade‑waste discharge compliance.
Drive sustainability projects focused on reducing energy, water, waste and product loss through continuous improvement activities plans.
Oversee environmental reporting and incident management, ensuring accurate data, timely investigations and corrective action close‑out.
Build strong relationships with regulators and the community, while providing expert technical guidance and coaching to site teams.
About You
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or experience in a similar role.
Experience with EMS development and compliance.
Knowledge of wastewater treatment, energy management and environmental investigations.
A continuous‑improvement mindset and passion for sustainability.
