The Role
Join a supportive and collaborative site where people, safety, and continuous improvement come first. We’re looking for a Sanitation Lead who enjoys guiding teams, building strong relationships, and contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace.
This role is ideal for someone who leads with empathy, communicates clearly, and enjoys working closely with operations to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
Our Ridge Street site in Bega NSW services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural, and processed cheeses. These include the renowned Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger cheese slices.
This role offers flexibility to work Monday to Friday between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, within a 38‑hour full‑time week.
Responsibilities
Lead and support the production services team in a safe, inclusive environment.
Coordinate daily operations to meet cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of supplies, chemical inventories, and operational data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage purchase orders and invoices in GEP SMART in line with procurement processes.
Coordinate contractors to ensure timely engagement, site access, and reliable service delivery.
About you
Understanding food hygiene standards and safe work practices in production environments
Knowledge of safe chemical handling, including SDS awareness and correct PPE use
Proficient computer skills, with the ability to follow SOPs and inventory processes accurately and consistently
Strong attention to detail to maintain hygiene, safety, and compliance standards
A supportive, communicative leader who collaborates well, solves problems, and helps teams achieve goals
