Title: Finance Shared Services (FSS) Data Strategist

Day-to-day responsibilities involve:
Design and implement quantitative data control frameworks using statistical, algorithmic, and machine learning techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial and risk data
Build scalable, automated data quality solutions for large-scale datasets
Analyze complex, distributed data pipelines (lineage, transformations, dependencies) across systems
Investigate and resolve non-trivial data issues through direct work with datasets and codebases
Improve data architecture and control design to reduce systemic issues and enhance reliability
You have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline, with strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, or algorithmic problem solving, and 1–4 years of relevant experience as a desk strategist, financial modeler, or quantitative analyst
Strong programming skills (Python, SQL; Kdb-q a plus) with experience handling large-scale data and complex transformations
Ability to apply statistical and analytical methods to diagnose and solve real-world data problems, including familiarity with data modeling and anomaly detection
Ability to analyze complex problems across systems, quickly understanding data environments, workflows, and codebases
Ability to synthesize insights across multiple systems and data sources, communicate findings clearly, and independently explore advanced techniques (e.g., machine learning)

The Finance Shared Services (FSS) Data Strategies team focuses on the integrity, structure, and scalability of data supporting financial and regulatory processes.
The team operates across the full data lifecycle, including:
End-to-end data lineage and cross-system consistency
Resolution of structural data issues across interconnected systems
Development of automated, quantitative control frameworks
Continuous enhancement of data architecture to support accuracy, scalability, and auditability
The role provides exposure to firm-wide data infrastructure and the inputs feeding financial models and regulatory reporting, building strong capability in quantitative analysis, system design, and applied data science.
