To support our growing business, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- To support the mechanical engineering department in the document review of manufacturing drawings, inspection plans, workshop monitoring of production, and reports.
- Arrange visits to workshops and ensure the availability of components for manufacturing.
- Follow up manufacturing activities progress with the team and report project time performance
- Handling of 2D software and manufacturing drawings
- Assure that the equipment manufactured in the workshop is in accordance with the design drawings
- Ensure the correct installation of components and equipment
- Management of mechanical contractor in preassembly and assist the on-site mechanical supervisor when required
- To identify and report deviations and risks in project execution
- Ensure compliance and development of the HSEQ requirements of GEA
- Estimate and plan pre-assembly hours
- Responsible person for the documentation on workshop
- Responsible for reporting
- Progress reports
- Review of suppliers’ quality dossiers
- Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing management documentation
- Inspect, verify, compare, measure, control, define, record, maintain and ensure the quality of the manufacturing process, in accordance with procedures, standards and specifications.
- Support the tasks of inspection, verification, and quality tests in the stages of receipt of raw materials.
- Comply with the quality inspection routines and the execution of the quality plans during the production stage until the delivery of the equipment or components that ensure compliance with the established technical specifications.
- Guarantee the optimal storage of the finished product.
- Analyze and point out deficiencies, rework and scrap and work out solutions as a team
- Ensure a smooth pre-assembly process: monitor compliance with job scheduling in terms of quality, quantity, on-time delivery, and productivity
- Releasing / liberation of manufactured equipment.
- Support the mechanical supervisors / site managers in the inspection, verification, and quality tests of the site assembly in the different project locations.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Knowledge of the latest manufacturing processes in the areas of machining, welding, assembly, inspection and quality control, etc.
- Basic knowledge of materials selection.
- Strong sense of achievement; expects good standards of work, tenacious, and able to overcome barriers/ solve problems.
- Correctly use the measuring instruments and equipment delivered from the metrology process to carry out quality tests.
- Hygienic design know-how.
- Knowledge of heavy load handling and lifting.
- Good knowledge about drawings, QAP, welding map.
- A good knowledge of weld quality procedures.
- Demonstrate organization, time management and prioritization of work.
- Knowledge of manufacturing codes ASME, ANSI, API.
