Casual Examination Assistant role supporting exam paper processing and digital file management during the University’s June 2026 examination period

About the opportunity
The Examination Assistant role is a casual position based at the Susan Wakil Health Building, supporting the University’s formal examination period from Wednesday 10 June to Tuesday 23 June 2026. The hours will be 9-5pm for the 2 week period only.
The role involves counting and reconciling exam papers, bulk scanning documents using photocopiers, receiving and accurately naming scanned PDF files, and uploading files to Canvas.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, accurate record keeping skills, and confidence managing digital files efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Current students are not eligible to apply, however, current PHD students are encouraged to apply.
Tasks to complete include:
Count and reconcile exam papers
Bulk scan exam papers using photocopiers
Receive the scanned PDFs and name them
Upload the PDFs to Sharepoint secure exam folders.
Report any issues and errors to the FMH Assessment Manager for investigation and escalation.
Skills required:
Digital file management, including naming and uploading files
Accurate record keeping, comparing physical papers and digital files
Attention to detail, accuracy and speed
Sponsorship / work rights for Australia
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This role requires valid work rights for Australia.
