11The Team:
The Data, Valuations and Risk Analytics (‘DVR’) team plays a critical role in enabling banks, securities firms, asset managers, and other financial institutions to:
• Strengthen valuation governance and controls
• Enhance their securities finance benchmarking, dividend risk management, and ETF operational efficiency
• Improve front office and risk transparency
• Meet regulatory and audit expectations
• Scale valuation processes across asset classes
As a Sales Specialist, you will directly influence revenue growth, client adoption, and long-term strategic relationships with some of the largest financial institutions in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities and Impact:
• Own and drive end to end sales cycles for DVR solutions, from pipeline generation to close
• Develop and execute territory and account plans targeting banks, asset managers, and financial institutions
• Engage senior stakeholders including Front Office, Risk, Valuation, Finance, IT, and Procurement
• Position DVR against competitive alternatives (e.g. Murex, Kondor, in house platforms)
• Work closely with pre sales and product specialists to deliver compelling demonstrations and solution designs
• Build strong relationships with existing S&P Global clients to identify upsell and expansion opportunities
• Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM hygiene (Salesforce)
• Contribute market feedback to product and leadership teams to support roadmap and go to market strategy
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
• 8-15 years of relevant institutional sales experience, preferably in financial technology, risk, valuation, or capital markets solutions
• Proven track record of closing complex, enterprise deals with financial institutions
• Experience selling to banks, asset managers, or financial market participants
• Comfortable managing long sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
• Strong consultative selling and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Commercially driven, self-directed, and comfortable with accountability
• Strong collaboration skills across sales, product, and pre sales teams in a multi-cultural and highly collaborative environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and Mandarin • Experience using Salesforce
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of securities finance, dividend forecasting, ETF ecosystem, derivatives, valuation, risk, or front office workflows
• Experience working in a matrixed, global organization
