What you will do
As a Scrum Master, you will be a member of the Agile community within the Bank and will be responsible for coaching Scrum Team members to communicate, coordinate and collaborate to meet delivery goals. You are also accountable for supporting process improvements and ensuring that information is continually shared within and between teams.
We are a collaborative and diverse team within ITS with the mission to carry out the roadmap of an effective regulatory IT platform to meet the requirements of the Bank of Canada’s role in supervising payment service providers (PSPs). We are also beginning work on two new mandates: Stable Coin and Consumer-driven Banking.
Lead by the Director of the Supervision portfolio, you will join a dynamic and highly skilled team working together to design, develop, and support our regulatory IT platforms built on the Power Platform.
You will facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments to team progress, as well as work with other Scrum Masters to improve the Scrum practice at the Bank. You will be called upon to coach and guide team members on best-in-class development techniques and approaches.

Your education and experience
Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the competencies and skills for the position. We are ideally seeking candidates with relevant education (business administration, computer science, etc.) and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional). If a qualified candidate who meets the language requirement of the position is not found, a qualified candidate who does not meet the language requirement may be considered. Training may be provided to help reach the required level. Both bilingual and unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
