Assist in the management of the Group’s digital communications channels, with emphasis on social media platforms and corporate websites, ensuring content is timely, engaging, accurate and brand compliant.
Support the end-to-end coordination and production of the Group’s Annual Report and other communications collaterals, including content collation, stakeholder coordination and liaison with internal teams and external partners.
Support Group Communications in implementing communication plans, campaigns, events and initiatives aligned with the Group’s corporate strategy, narrative and brand positioning.
Act as an ambassador of the Sime brand, actively projecting, safeguarding and reinforcing brand integrity through consistent messaging and proactive brand management.
Provide administrative and coordination support to Group Communications, including documentation, reporting, scheduling, and operational follow-through to ensure effective delivery of communications activities.
Job Description
1. Social Media
Administer the Group’s social media account(s), ensuring content is timely, accurate, engaging and aligned with corporate messaging and brand guidelines.
Support the development and execution of the Group’s social media content and editorial plan, aligned with key corporate priorities, campaigns, and announcements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source, curate and develop relevant content for the Group’s social media platforms.
Work closely with appointed agencies and vendors to develop engaging copy, visuals, graphics and short-form content for postings.
Monitor and respond to enquiries, feedback and comments in a timely, professional and effective manner, escalating issues where required.
Track sentiment and performance across social media channels and prepare regular reports and insights on engagement, reach, and effectiveness.
Continuously build and enhance the Group’s social media presence as an engaging, credible, and high-traffic communications channel.
Stay abreast of emerging trends, tools, and best practices in social media for potential application by the Group.
2. Digital Platforms (Website & Portal)
Assist in the ongoing management, maintenance and updating of the Group’s corporate website and employee portal, ensuring content is current, accurate relevant and brand‑aligned.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather, review and publish content, including announcements, corporate information and key updates.
Support content governance on digital platforms, including adherence to approval processes, brand guidelines and content standards.
Work with vendors or digital partners (where applicable) to support website updates, improvements, and issue resolution.
3. Annual Report & Corporate Publications
Support the end-to-end production of the Group’s Annual Report, including content collation, coordination with internal stakeholders and act as the primary liaison with external agencies such as consultants, designers, editors, photographers and printers.
Assist in managing timelines, version control and approvals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the Annual Report.
Support the preparation and coordination of other corporate publications, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand application.
4. Brand & Creative Production
Act as an advocate and custodian of the Sime brand, ensuring consistent application of brand guidelines across all communication materials and platforms.
Design and develop communication collaterals using approved design software, in compliance with the Sime brand identity guidelines.
Undertake the development of festive collaterals, advertisements and other creative materials as required by the Group.
5. Merchandise Management
Work with internal stakeholders to understand merchandise requirements for corporate events, employee engagement initiatives
Support the development of corporate merchandise, ensuring all items are aligned with the Sime brand identity guidelines, quality standards and corporate positioning.
Manage inventory tracking, distribution coordination and basic record‑keeping of merchandise stock, where applicable.
6. Administrative & Operational Support
Support and manage day-to-day administrative functions for Group Communications, including procurement processes, financial tracking, reporting and documentation.
Manage the Group’s general communications mailbox, ensuring timely responses to queries and appropriate escalation of issues.
Provide operational and coordination support to ensure smooth execution of Group Communications initiatives including events, CSR activities, production of communications materials.
Job Requirements
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any field, preferably in Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or Law.
1-3 years working experience in related fields. Experience in PR / Corporate Communications / Brand / Media would be an advantage
Excellent command of written and spoken English; fluent in Bahasa Melayu. Ability to speak, read and write in Chinese would be an advantage.
A working knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop would be an advantage.
A strong team player who collaborates and engages well across functions, supports colleagues and contributes to the collective success of the department and organisation.
