Smart Building Solutions division, we are looking for a
Technical Sales/Specification Engineer who will cover the
Emilia-Romagna and
Tuscany areas.
In this role, you will have a direct impact on the
growth of your assigned area by promoting advanced Zumtobel solutions for lighting management and centralized emergency systems, designed for increasingly intelligent, efficient, and connected buildings. You will collaborate with clients, design firms, sales teams, and commissioning engineers, following opportunities from the analysis and proposal phase through to the implementation of solutions.
Within your area,
you will be a key figure in transforming technical and design requirements into concrete solutions, contributing to the development of systems and value-added services. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, a customer-oriented technical-sales approach, and the ability to manage complex projects in a dynamic, innovation-driven international environment.
Responsibilities
- Promote, design, and sell building automation solutions for lighting management and centralized emergency systems, along with value-added services such as installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Develop, maintain, and grow long-term relationships with clients.
- Identify customer needs through site visits and technical analysis, proposing tailor-made solutions.
- Prepare and present commercial offers, quotations, and technical project specifications.
- Support customers in product selection, technical clarifications, and design guidelines.
- Coordinate project execution in close collaboration with the technical commissioning team.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of technical-commercial strategies aimed at developing the assigned area and expanding value-added solutions and services.
- Identify market trends, customer expectations, and product development opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- You have proven experience of at least three years in a technical-sales role, preferably in system integration, BMS, lighting, or automation.
- Solid understanding of system integration fundamentals, with the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to designers, installers, and end customers.
- You have experience in project management and coordinating technical projects and stakeholders.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; experience with SAP and Salesforce is considered a plus.
- Customer-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal and commercial skills, and a collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in a team to achieve goals.
- You bring strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and evolving sales environment.
- Highly organized and passionate about technology, with strong time management skills and a solution-oriented approach in independently managing priorities.
- A technical degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to communicate clearly in Italian and English.
- You are willing to travel frequently within the assigned region and occasionally across the national territory.
