The role spans analysis, design, build, deployment, and ongoing support of IGA solutions, while being accountable for the delivery, governance, and continuous uplift of SailPoint IIQ capabilities.
In parallel, you will lead and develop a chapter of identity security professionals, building capability and driving outcomes aligned to Telstra’s broader Identity Security Portfolio.

What You’ll Do
Lead the design, configuration, integration, and implementation of SailPoint IIQ solutions across Telstra’s internal systems, with a strong emphasis on automation and user experience.
Act as Technical Lead and Chapter Lead, guiding and mentoring Identity engineers within the IGA chapter.
Drive the development and enhancement of integration patterns using SailPoint out‑of‑the‑box capabilities to enable rapid and repeatable onboarding of applications.
Analyse and provide expert advice on identity and access requirements to ensure effective and appropriate solutions during application onboarding.
Prepare and maintain detailed production deployment instructions and technical documentation for SailPoint integrations.
Ensure end‑to‑end traceability across requirements, solution design, and test cases to demonstrate delivery milestones and compliance evidence.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, platform teams, and delivery squads to ensure solutions align with security standards and organisational needs.
Apply and champion Agile practices, contributing to showcases, demos, feedback loops, and agreed Agile reporting metrics.
Chapter Leadership: Lead and grow the Identity Security chapter, setting strategic direction and building scalable SailPoint‑centric IGA capability that governs identity lifecycle and access at enterprise scale, integrates with PAM, directories, and digital trust controls, and ensures delivery aligned to Telstra’s security, regulatory, and workforce objectives.
Key Technical Skills & Expertise
Identity & Access Governance – SailPoint IIQ (Advanced)
Extensive, hands‑on experience delivering SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) solutions in large enterprise environments.
Strong expertise across:
SailPoint IIQ workflows, forms, access rules, and connectors
SailPoint Standard Build Framework (SSB)
SailPoint IIQ APIs
Proven ability to deliver high‑quality application integrations with automation and user experience at the core.
Platforms, Databases & Development
Databases: MySQL, Oracle
Technologies: Java, J2EE, Tomcat
Scripting & OS:
Unix scripting
Bash / shell scripting
CI/CD DevOps pipelines and automation practices
Cloud & container platforms:
AWS and Azure
