How You’ll Make an Impact
You will be supporting the sales and commercial team in managing customer accounts by handling routine account activities and managing smaller accounts, coordinating internal processes, and maintaining accurate records.
You shall focuses on day to day account coordination and customer support, including order tracking, pricing support, reporting, and communication with customers under the guidance of senior sales colleagues. You would be developing foundational account management skills while contributing to strong customer service, smooth commercial operations, and achievement of sales objectives.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. Customer Account Support
• Support assigned customer accounts with routine operational and administrative activities.
• Act as a point of contact for customers for basic queries related to orders, pricing, documentation, and delivery status.
• Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure timely information flow and issue follow up.
• Escalate commercial or service-related issues to senior sales team members as required.
2. Relationship & Learning Focus
• Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop account management, commercial processes, and customer lifecycle management skills under supervision.
• Manage smaller/ low tier customers to develop account management skills.
• Develop product knowledge, technical understand, applications, etc.
• Support continuous improvement of customer service and internal processes.
3. Order & Sales Coordination
• Assist with sales order processing and tracking from order receipt through delivery.
• Coordinate with supply chain, finance, and customer service teams to support order fulfilment.
• Monitor open orders and follow up internally to ensure timely closure.
4. Pricing & Quotation Support
• Support preparation and issuance of customer price lists and quotations under guidance.
• Assist with pricing updates, including FX-related adjustments, and ensure accuracy in customer communication.
• Support maintenance of pricing records and reports in SAP.
5. Sales Reporting & Analysis
• Assist in preparing regular sales and customer performance reports.
• Support analysis of sales trends, forecasts, and open orders for assigned customers.
• Maintain accurate customer sales data and documentation.
6. Forecasting Support
• Support collection of customer forecast information and maintain shared forecast files.
• Assist in preparing FC vs Actual vs Open Orders reports.
• Support forecast uploads and system updates as instructed.
7. SAP Master Data Support
• Assist with SAP master data maintenance for customers, including Ship To / Sold To records.
• Support material extensions and basic master data queries.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of customer data.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
• Degree or Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry Qualification.
• 1-2 years’ working experience
• Technical, Sales support, customer service, sales administration, or commercial operations.
• Exposure to customer facing roles or account support is an advantage.
• Good Excel skills (basic reporting, lookups, data handling).
• Familiarity with sales order processes and pricing support is an advantage.
• Basic to working knowledge of SAP (SD/MM desirable) is an advantage.
