John Holland, Stantec and KBR are partnering with Sydney Water in an Alliance to deliver the North-West Treatment Hub – a brownfield treatment program that will commence with a $500 million upgrade of Rouse Hill and Riverstone wastewater treatment facilities. The project will achieve circular economy outcomes, increasing recycled water production, improving the quality of wastewater byproducts for reuse, and leveraging innovative treatment technologies that reduce carbon footprint. Upgrades will support the treatment of a further 45 megalitres of wastewater each day, to cater for growing northwest communities. The Project will deliver a new state-of-the-art biosolids facility at Riverstone, with new technology to improve the quality of wastewater byproducts.
As a Contracts Administrator you will assist in preparations and negotiate with sub-contractors for the calling of quotations and letting of contracts and provide contract administration services to assist in the project’s control of contract costs.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Draft scopes of works and packages to accompany requests for quotations issued to subcontractors for projects
Conduct investigations with subcontractors to clarify the organisation’s conditions relating to contracts for prospective projects
Operate and maintain commercial and contract systems including Project Costs Reporting (PCR), Asset Registers, Commercial Pack database and Contract Sum
Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and keep project management teams abreast of any cost’s issues immediately upon identification
Assess commercial and contractual risks involved in delivery and implementation of projects and identify and implement controls
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent ¬
Post graduate qualifications e.g. graduate certificate, graduate diploma in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Construction, Property, Quantity Surveying, Law or other associated disciplines
Experience working as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction and Water industry.
Relevant commercial administration experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated disciplines
