Opes are seeking a hands-on Cleared Technology Recruiter to manage the day-to-day hiring across the business. Reporting into the Director, you will be the primary recruiter for the business, responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment across Defence, Government, and National Security
projects. This is a delivery-focused role, success comes from your ability to source, engage, and hire cleared and technical talent at pace in a competitive market.
Role Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruitment Delivery
- Own day-to-day recruitment activity across the Talent Acquisition function
- Manage the full hiring lifecycle from briefing through to offer and onboarding
- Engage with the Director and hiring managers to understand role requirements and priorities
- Deliver timely hiring outcomes aligned to project and client demand
Sourcing & Talent Engagement
- Proactively source and engage candidates within the security cleared and clearable talent market
- Build pipelines across infrastructure, cloud, cyber, networks, and software engineering roles
- Use LinkedIn Recruiter and direct sourcing methods to engage passive candidates
- Leverage existing Defence, Government, and National Security networks where available
Candidate & Stakeholder Management
- Manage candidate engagement and experience throughout the recruitment process
- Coordinate interviews, feedback, and offer processes
- Work closely with hiring managers across multiple concurrent roles
- Provide regular updates on pipeline progress and hiring status
Delivery Focus
- Manage multiple live roles at any one time across technical project teams
- Ensure roles are progressed efficiently and aligned to delivery timelines
- Reduce reliance on external recruitment agencies through direct sourcing
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years’ recruitment experience (agency or internal)
- Experience recruiting in Defence, Government, National Security, or cleared environments
- Strong understanding of technical roles across the broader technology stack (not limited to cyber)
- Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS systems (Employment Hero or similar)
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversite.
