Join the leadership team at Yarrawonga Health as an After-Hours Coordinator (AHC) and play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality care across our health service after hours. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical leadership skills to step into a dynamic and rewarding role supporting acute, aged care and community services in a rural health setting.
This position will commence as a Fixed Term Part-Time role for 12 weeks to cover an extended leave period, with the opportunity to transition into an ongoing casual After-Hours Coordinator pool following completion of the fixed term contract.
Located in the beautiful regional town of Yarrawonga, Yarrawonga Health offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a strong sense of community and work-life balance.
As an After-Hours Coordinator, you will be part of a highly valued senior nursing team responsible for the after-hours management and coordination of services across Yarrawonga Health. You will provide operational and clinical leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred care while supporting staff, patients, residents and visitors across the organisation.
This is a hands-on leadership role where no two shifts are the same. You will coordinate staffing and hospital resources, oversee patient flow and escalation processes, respond to emergencies, support clinical teams, and ensure compliance with clinical governance and Safe Patient Care Ratio requirements.
The AHC is also a key point of contact for organisational escalation, emergency management and after-hours operational decision making.
You are a confident and experienced Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can make sound decisions independently. You bring strong leadership capability, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
