Montgomery College, Rockville Campus has an immediate need for a full-time Financial Aid Assistant in the Financial Aid Department. The work schedule is 40 hours a week, Monday, Wednesday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. This is a Non-Bargaining, Non-Exempt, grade 21 position. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. The Financial Aid Assistant works under direct supervision of the Campus Student Financial Aid Director. The incumbent is the first point of contact for students and their family representatives through in-person, phone or email conversations, while providing excellent customer service.
The work is performed in accordance with established rules, regulations, procedures, and precedents; unusual and nonstandard matters are referred when appropriate. Decisions require judgment regarding what actions to take based on available information and within established guidelines in order to maintain accuracy and dependability while interacting with the public and performing office duties.
Contacts are with college faculty, staff, current and prospective students and family representatives, and external entities especially with regards to supporting students and office functions.

Hiring Range: $23.70 - $30.93 per hour. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $38.06 per hour.
