What You'll Do:
The Office of Budget and Management (OBM) welcomes applications for its Financial Analyst position. This prestigious opportunity is ideal for a highly motivated individual with experience or academic preparation in public administration, business administration, public policy, or finance. In this role, the analyst will analyze, research, and evaluate state agency financial transactions, including reviewing payment card transactions, responding to customer inquiries, assisting agencies with issue resolution, and determining appropriate documentation for voucher and payment card review. The position also involves evaluating transactions, issuing or canceling payment cards for state employees, suspending and restoring accounts for noncompliant cardholders, reviewing waiver requests, maintaining data in the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS), performing account maintenance in the issuing bank’s system, and assisting in the development of procedural documentation. Additionally, the analyst will monitor state agency transaction activity, enter and approve transactions, generate periodic reports related to payment card administration, notify agencies of suspected payment card fraud, update approver proxies in OAKS, conduct daily payment card reconciliations, and identify transactions for post-audit review.[placeholder]

Completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, business administration, finance or related field.
