JOB PURPOSE
To assist the Relationship Team in maintaining and housekeeping the portfolio under management, resolving day to day issues and ensuring marketing team’s involvement in operational issues is brought to a minimum.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
• Act as a backup to the Relationship Manager and mirror the assigned portfolio - Assist the Relationship Management team in maintaining and developing both existing and target Relationships.
• Liaise regularly with various departments (e.g. FTC, OPS, Compliance, Credit Ops…etc) within the bank and entertaining requests and enquiries pertaining to transactions and/ or documentation.
• Ensuring all documentation is up to standard and up to date and ensuring that MER issues are kept to a minimum.
• Attend to the Clients enquiries and coordinate with various Service Departments to ensure resolution in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing industry studies and data collection pertaining to clients’ portfolio within the unit.
• Attend to specific projects / jobs assigned by the Division/Unit Head from time to time.
• Maintain proper records of clients’ communication.
• Housekeeping monthly pipeline report and updating the same on monthly basis.
• Explore and highlight business opportunities in the portfolio.
• To prepare Consolidated Client Positions on regular basis
• Collate and follow up updating of RB and Technical Capability reports.
• Maintain Filing
• To handle Annual review initiation/preparation and project allocation process
• Prepare and update PPC reports
• Maintain System Data and note pad updated for each client/project.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Complete knowledge and clear understanding of the Bank’s credit policy and operating systems
• Strong credit, legal knowledge and marketing skills are mandatory.
• Thorough awareness of various financial product / services.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with ability to perform as a team player
• Familiarity with core banking systems
• BSc. In Finance/ Accounting with minimum experience of 2 – 4 years
• MBA is a plus
- Perform comprehensive credit analysis and assessment of Services & Manufacturing clients' financial health and creditworthiness.
- Monitor and manage the credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored financial solutions.
- Liaise with internal teams, including risk management, legal, and operations, to ensure smooth transaction processing and compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and economic factors that may impact clients' businesses and credit profiles.
- Prepare and present credit proposals, financial analyses, and recommendations to the credit committee for approval.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and cross-sell banking products and services.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high standard of ethical conduct.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on credit portfolio performance, including regular updates to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with a strong preference for a Master's degree in Finance or a professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis, credit risk management, or a similar role, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement analysis, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and operations, with the ability to tailor solutions to meet client needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound credit decisions.
- Proficiency in using financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel, and experience with credit risk modeling is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical judgment and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
