Key Accountabilities /Execution:
Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.
Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.
Element owner in the FrameWork system for Ergonomic, and Machine Guard topics.
Design/draw/setup different ergonomic fixtures, which allow safe part manipulations.
Attend Roadmap events, to determine the developing areas.
Continuosly develop the fixtures, processes for ECM/EDM, and QC areas.
Support the US Metem engineering team by attending different Kaizen, and Lean events.
Support and leading the development for no lift solution for the heavy nozzle parts, which will be catalogized for all ge sites all over the world.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Fluent English.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Strong CAD design experience in SolidWorks.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and materials.
Experience with NPI processes and product lifecycle management.
Process improvement and lean manufacturing mindset.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Responsibility:
Responsible for the safe and ergonomic part hadling. Lead new product, and new technology implementations, and continuously develop the machining processes and fixtures.
Primary contact for breakthrought manufacturing solutions, like TEK4 machines implementations.
Responsible for the necessary material samples for new product implementations.
Design all graphite electrodes for the production.
Define electrode diemateres for TEK4 machines, to fullfill the drawing and airflow requirements.
Cooperate with US colleagues with different process improvement , and design tasks.
Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through production launch.
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software.
Create detailed technical drawings, models, and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality.
Analyze and improve existing production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Identify and implement process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure designs meet technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
Troubleshoot design and production issues, providing effective engineering solutions.
Lead ’no lift-safety-ergonomics’ developments/projects at any areas in the shop
TEK4 lean line.
Design fixtures for safe end ergonomic part flowing.
Coordinate the vendors, review/evaluate/propose the new developing directions.
Responsible for 5S integration to the line.
EDM fixtures design/ developing.
Eliminate any manual lifting for the operators, by design sliding part movements.
Develop probing method in the manufacturing, to ensure proper machining even the castings are deviate in a huge tolerance range.
ECM fixtures design/developing.
Design different electrode guides to produce parts at zero scrap rate.
Reduce the maintenance time by creating/desing fast locator change method.
QC fixtures design/developing.
