Job Description :
The IT Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users within the organization. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, resolving hardware and software problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network equipment.
- Hardware Support: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and network devices.
- Software Support: Provide assistance with software installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Network Support: Assist with network connectivity issues, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Help Desk Support: Respond to user inquiries and requests via phone, email, and in-person.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- User Training: Provide basic training and support to end-users on IT systems and applications.
- Security: Adhere to security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1+ year/s of experience in IT technical support or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software (Operating Systems suc as Windows and Mac OS).
- Experience with troubleshooting network issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferably but not required: Certification in IT support or related field (e.g., CompTIA A+).
