Job Description

• Own one of Qantas’ most complex and visible customer portfolios, combining senior commercial leadership with end‑to‑end accountability for charter delivery. 
• Lead and shape high‑performing sales and operations teams that sit at the centre of critical resource and charter customer outcomes. 
• Permanent role based at either our Brisbane or Perth Sales Office

The Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts – Resources and Charter Delivery is a critical customer facing leadership role within Business and Government Sales, accountable for both strategic commercial outcomes and the effective delivery of charter operations. This role leads a team of Resources & FIFO Operations Coordinators supporting complex charter flying, with a strong focus on ensuring safe, reliable and effective charter and block space delivery for key strategic resource customers. 

In addition, the role provides leadership, coaching and mentoring to a team of Strategic Account Managers, while also retaining ownership of selected strategic accounts. The role combines account management with a strong operational remit, requiring close oversight of charter activity across major resource and charter customers. Regular travel between Brisbane and Perth is required to support customer engagement, team leadership and operational delivery. 

You’ll have – 

• Minimum 7 years’ relevant professional experience in senior commercial, sales or customer‑led roles 
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Aviation, Economics or a related discipline (desirable) 
• Demonstrated senior commercial judgement with a strong customer orientation and focus on value creation 
• Proven experience leading complex sales and account strategies across large or strategic customer portfolios 
• Strong capability in contract negotiation, commercial decision‑making and business planning 
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing high‑performing teams 
• Ability to lead through complexity, driving performance, accountability and operational discipline 
• Strategic mindset with experience interpreting external market dynamics and translating this into action
