Job Summary
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to design, implement, verify, and maintain control software for vehicle dynamics and powertrain systems. You’ll work on gearbox and clutch management, torque coordination, as well as comfort functions.
The role is desired to blend-in Functional Safety expertise, driving the FuSa lifecycle for safety-relevant systems to achieve and maintain target ASIL and product release readiness.
You’ll collaborate with vehicle dynamics, transmission, and motor control teams to deliver precise, reliable software that enhances performance and drivability
What you will do
- Design and implement control algorithms for gearbox, clutch, and torque coordination across electric, hybrid, and ICE powertrains
- Configure communication interfaces (primarily CAN)
- Implement safety and fail-safe mechanisms aligned with ISO 26262 ASIL targets
- Plan and execute MIL, SIL, HIL, and vehicle-level validation and calibration
- Diagnose and resolve control and integration issues in lab and vehicle environments
- Produce and maintain architecture, interface, and verification documentation.
What you will bring
- Experience with model-based design in MATLAB/Simulink.
- C/C++ programming skills for embedded real-time systems.
- Understanding of automotive control systems.
- Experience with ECU toolchains and debuggers.
- Experience with HIL, MIL/SIL testing.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of gearbox and clutch systems and their interaction with torque control.
