For our North America region, within the Business Unit Services & Performance (BUSP), we are looking for an “IoT Technical Intern”.
The role is intended to support machine network connectivity and integration with BOBST’s Helpline service and cloud-based platform, BOBST Connect. Responsibilities include assisting with network setup, system configuration, troubleshooting and data analysis to help our colleagues be able to demonstrate the value of Helpline and BOBST Connect to customers and prospects. This role directly supports our sales teams to ensure successful renewals and upgrades of customers’ Digital Solution service contracts. The intern will report to the IoT Technical Manager.
Key Responsibilities (to do):
Machine Integration & Connectivity
• Support ‘Level 1’ machine network connectivity across Americas, ensuring reliable connections and troubleshooting issues between machines, sensors and digital platforms.
• Assist key accounts for both BOBST and non-BOBST machine connectivity.
• Collaborate with the Americas Digital Solutions team, BOBST Connect team and IoT Equipment Data Analysts to verify data accuracy before delivery to customers.
Digital Solutions
• Support the development of data analysis to create dashboards as needed, leveraging machine and network data to deliver actionable, data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Assist the team with any customer network installations and issues.
• Generate network offline reports to identify potential connection issues.
Competence Center
• Support shopfloor pre-press and platemaking for customer demos as needed.
Professional skills (to know):
Technical Skills
• Solid understanding of core networking concepts including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and standard IT tools.
• Familiarity with data collection platforms and data visualization techniques.
• Basic knowledge of how data acquisition and visualization methods can transform raw data into actionable insights.

Education and Experience:
• Technical degree related to electrical engineering, technical service, industrial engineering etc. near completion preferred.
• English proficiency, other languages are a plus.
