• Research, report and write news stories and features assigned by Editors of the assigned Content Pillar. 
• Support breaking news coverage through quick-turn stories and updates as assigned.
• Pitch story ideas during editorial planning discussions and work on them once approved.
• Conduct interviews with sources to gather accurate and verified information.
• Collaborate with editors and senior staff on story edits and revisions.
• Support multimedia storytelling by contributing visuals, basic video or social media elements when required.
• Stay informed about current events and trends related to the assigned Content Pillar.
• Develop sources within coverage area.
• Participate in on-location reporting when required, including travel to cover breaking news or events.
• Adapt to tight deadlines and evolving news cycles while maintaining accuracy and quality.
