Winpak is hiring a Printing Supervisor based in Winnipeg, Manitoba to lead our Printing Department
We are seeking a Printing Supervisor to lead daily printing operations, ensuring each shift meets commitments to internal and external customers while achieving targets for safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and ensuring shift objectives are achieved.
- Lead, coach, and hold employees accountable for performance, addressing concerns and administering discipline in accordance with company policy and the collective agreement.
- Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies, conducting audits, leading safety talks, and supporting incident investigations.
- Monitor workplace conditions, equipment, and processes to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations at all times.
- Ensure all product quality standards are met by enforcing SOPs, verifying completion of quality checks, and collaborating with Quality Control on issue resolution.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes (e.g., 8D) to resolve quality and production issues.
- Drive productivity by monitoring KPIs, analyzing performance, and implementing improvements to meet or exceed operational targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, leading problem-solving activities, and engaging team members in process enhancements.
- Maintain accurate reporting and administrative functions, including production reporting, timekeeping, performance reviews, and training documentation.
- Maintain valid First Aid certification, complete all required safety training, and actively support and participate in Winpak’s return-to-work program to promote a safe and healthy workplace
- Foster a collaborative team environment through effective communication, shift handovers, cross-functional coordination, and employee development.
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education, GED, or equivalent.
- +5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- +2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory position.
- 2+ years of experience working in a role requiring strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- +1 year of experience working with continuous improvement methodologies.
- +1 years of experience using PC-based programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word (or similar types of software).
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in writing and verbally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in programs related to computer, graphics or manufacturing would be an asset.
Additional Information:
- This position is 100% onsite located in Murray Industrial Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
- There is limited bus access to this location.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts including (days, afternoons, nights)
