Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Build & Configuration
- Implement end-to-end EPM solutions for PFT/FTP/Allocations under guidance of IC4 leads.
- Configure OFSAA Rule Framework components including:
- Allocation and driver rules
- Transfer pricing pools and pricing rules
- Transformation rules
- Profitability and costing calculation logic
- Configure and maintain metadata (DIM/FCT structures), hierarchies, and mapping rules.
2. SQL/PLSQL Engineering
- Develop SQL/PLSQL scripts, packages, functions, and procedures for:
- Data transformation & enrichment
- Rule logic support
- Batch execution
- Exception handling
- Optimize SQL logic for medium-to-large workloads and improve execution efficiency.
3. Data Integration & ETL Engineering
- Support and enhance data pipelines (STG → FCT → Reporting layer).
- Work with ETL engineers (ODI/Informatica) to implement mapping and ingestion logic.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and lineage documentation.
4. Batch Execution & Performance Support
- Run EPM batch cycles including PFT/FTP/Allocations.
- Analyze logs, SQL traces, and performance bottlenecks and apply tuning fixes.
- Understand performance optimization for partitions, indexes, and materialized views.
5. Testing & Quality Assurance
- Write and execute unit tests and SIT test plans.
- Validate profitability/FTP/Allocation rule outputs against functional requirements.
- Assist in defect triage, RCA, and support the UAT cycle.
6. Documentation & Deployment
- Prepare technical design documents, build workbooks, and mapping specifications.
- Support deployment across environments (DEV → SIT → UAT → PROD).
- Maintain version-controlled build scripts and change management documentation.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with functional EPM consultants to translate allocation logic, FTP methods, and profitability calculations into technical builds.
- Collaborate with DBA, infrastructure, and data architecture teams on performance and deployment issues.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to IC1/IC2 developers.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on SQL/PLSQL expertise (complex joins, aggregations, performance tuning).
- Experience configuring OFSAA Rule Framework components (allocation, FTP, PFT).
- Understanding of DIM/FCT metadata models and mapping concepts.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (ODI/Informatica) or PL/SQL-based data ingestion pipelines.
Performance & Architecture Awareness
- Experience working with large data volumes and performance tuning concepts:
- Indexing strategy
- Partitions and subpartitions
- Column statistics and gathering plans
- Query execution plans
- Familiarity with OCI/Exadata environments (preferred).
Domain Understanding (Technical View)
- Understanding of financial/treasury data such as:
- GL & cost center hierarchies
- Product hierarchies
- Driver-based allocations
- Transfer pricing models
- Ability to convert functional logic into scalable technical execution.
Soft Skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- A self-driven mindset with the ability to drive module delivery with minimal oversight.
- Mentoring capability for junior technical consultants.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in OFSAA EPM implementations.
- Hands-on experience in PFT/FTP/Allocations/Costing/MIS.
- Experience in multi-entity/multi-GL EPM implementations.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
