Sell something you believe in.
Do you know what sales is really about? If you do then you will know that sales is helping people who have a real problem by introducing them to an actual solution that genuinely solves their problem. That is sales.
At Shape Construction, we are building software that transforms how construction projects are delivered. It’s born out of real project experience and designed to bring clarity, structure, and performance to complex environments. This is your opportunity to be at the front of that mission. You won’t just be opening doors - you’ll be shaping how we engage the market, refining our approach, and helping define what great looks like as we scale.Construction professionals are busy and hard to reach. You’ll need to be creative, persistent, and sharp to earn those first few minutes of attention - and turn them into meaningful conversations. If you love the thrill of the chase, enjoy turning a “not interested” into a “let’s talk”, and want to play a key role in building something from the ground up, keep reading.
You will be the primary driver of our execution engine, taking high-level strategies and turning them into live, engaging content across our digital ecosystem. Your mission is to ensure our content helps potential customers discover our brand, learn our value proposition, and move toward conversion. You will maintain the pulse of our brand, ensuring our community, customers, and internal teams stay informed and inspired.
Team You will join our marketing team in a foundational supporting role and report directly to the Brand and Content Manager, ensuring all marketing initiatives are executed with excellence. Your top 4 responsibilities 1. Make the content: Write, edit, and polish everything from technical blog posts to one-page sales tools, then be the last set of eyes before anything goes out. 2. Run the channels. Own our newsletter, LinkedIn presence, and nurture campaigns end-to-end: production, scheduling, posting, and follow-through. 3. Show up in the right places: Participate in LinkedIn and Reddit communities where our audience lives, and manage how we're represented on review platforms like G2 and Capterra. 4. Keep everything on track: Maintain the content calendar and make sure campaign assets hit their deadlines. 5. Drive discovery: Optimise content for search and AI engines, track what's landing with our audience, and use that to make the next thing better. Your Capabilities As a candidate, you should have: - Mastery: Strong B2B writing with a solid command of grammar and style. You can shift between technical documentation, email campaigns, and punchy social copy. - Communication: Equally comfortable working with customers, product, sales, and the leadership team. You can take dense, jargon-heavy content and make it clear and useful. - Organisation: You keep track of multiple workstreams and deadlines without things slipping. - Impact: You have a track record in B2B SaaS content and understand how to write things that educate and convert, not just fill a page. Nice to Have (If you don’t have it now you will after joining): - Industry Mastery: Experience working within the construction industry, including an understanding of the technical language and unique challenges of the trade. - Tech Fluency: Familiarity with website CMS platforms (e.g. Webflow), CRM (e.g. HubSpot), and project management tools (e.g. Jira). - SEO and AEO: You know how to optimise content for search engines and AI answer engines. -Metrics and Reporting: You're comfortable tracking performance across email, social, and web, using indicators like open rates, engagement, and traffic to identify what's working. Shape isn’t the place for you if any of the following is true: - You want an easy, chilled-out role without much challenge - You like to be the smartest person in the room - You don’t like continuously receiving honest candid feedback - You prefer to do your own thing rather than work with a team At Laminar Projects we value diverse experiences and perspectives, empowering each member to contribute their unique expertise towards our collective success, so if you don't think you meet all the criteria but still are excited about this role we encourage you to apply anyways! _________________________________________________________________________________________ Salary and Benefits Standard Stuff - Competitive salary dependent on location and capability - Paid Annual Leave (Number of days will depend on where you are based) + statutory Bank Holidays - Private health insurance - In-House Coaching Sessions - Discretionary bonus scheme for all team members The Life-Changing Stuff - Flexibility: Getting things done is what really matters, not what time of day you do it. That means you don’t have to ask permission for things like picking up your kids or going to the doctor, just keep your team in the loop if you think they will be affected. - Grow your whole self: Our leaders are more like coaches and one of our main objectives is to give 5 years’ worth of learning and development for every 1 year with us. You have a coach, mentor, well-being therapist and a development-orientated environment: That’s literally what our vision is all about and the primary reason Laminar exists - Be surrounded by the best: We only hire and retain the very best people. You might be used to being the smartest in the room but that won’t be the case in Laminar. You will be surrounded by people you can learn from. We are 100% meritocratic so fast progression is the norm. You will be supported to excel in whichever areas you are most interested in! With Laminar, development is unbounded - Long-term impact: We are focused on solving the biggest issues in construction project delivery in a way that can spread and outlast us _____________________________________________________ Application We get thousands of applications so please write us a letter as part of your application explaining: - Why do you want to join us? - If you joined where do you think you could make the most impact and how? We aren't a giant faceless corporation; we really care about the people who want to join our team so all applications will be read thoroughly by our key leaders. In terms of application, we usually start with an intro call to tell you what we are all about in a casual conversation. That helps you to know us a bit better and tell us a bit about yourself.
