In this role, you'll:
Review and monitor third party service provider (UGLR) plans and budgets to ensure compliance and value for money as well as develop and implement systems and processes to optimise Rail asset performance and lifecycle costs.
You will oversee condition assessments, maintenance activities, and disaster recovery processes and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
You will lead initiatives to improve asset reliability and efficiency in a dynamic environment where safety and performance are paramount.

This is a Hybrid role with five days a month to be spent at your home hub and a further five days to be spent at either you home hub or another TfNSW location. Whilst we prefer you to be based in Newcastle, this is not essential.
About you
Your technical expertise and stakeholder management skills, specifically formed across rail, will enable you to navigate complex asset challenges and deliver sustainable solutions.
You’re recognised as a strategic thinker, skilled at optimising asset lifecycle performance, and experienced in engineering management and contract oversight.
Proven experience in Rail asset management and maintenance of complex technical systems is essential.
Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to manage supplier performance.
A four-year engineering degree (or equivalent overseas qualification).
