In this role, you'll:
Join our Operations Communications team, where you will play a key role in delivering customer and operational-focused communications across the transport network.
In this role, you will help ensure customers receive accurate, timely and meaningful information for both planned activities and unplanned incidents. Working in a fast-moving, high-demand environment, you will contribute to shaping communication that supports customer safety, improves journey experiences and builds trust in the network.
You will:
- Provide communications advice to internal stakeholders, supporting a wide range of operational and business requirements
- Develop, review and deliver customer and operational communications across multiple channels for planned and unplanned events
- Coordinate real-time updates across customer information channels, including Live Traffic, digital platforms and on-road messaging
- Support the development and delivery of proactive communication strategies and campaigns to influence customer behaviour
- Assist in the coordination of emergency and incident communications to ensure clarity, consistency and customer confidence
- Create engaging and strategically aligned content across a variety of formats, including social media, digital platforms, briefings, correspondence and campaigns
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to support collaboration and delivery outcomes
- Identify emerging issues and risks, contributing to proactive communication responses and improved outcomes.
This is a Permanent, Full Time position located at our Transport Management Centre (TMC) at Eveleigh. Due to the operational nature of this team, you will be required to work outside standard business hours to support operational demands when required.

About you
Your strong foundation in communications, combined with your ability to operate effectively in a high-demand, operational environment, will set you up for success.
You are known for your ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging content across a range of channels, tailoring your messaging to suit different audiences and situations.
Your experience developing and delivering communication plans, campaigns and real-time updates ensures you can contribute to influencing customer behaviour and improving outcomes during disruptions. Your strong understanding of both traditional and digital communication channels allows you to confidently deliver across platforms, leveraging best practice and emerging trends.
You bring well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to build relationships, gather insights and collaborate effectively to deliver coordinated communication outcomes.
Your ability to identify emerging issues and respond proactively ensures communication remains timely, relevant and aligned to operational priorities. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where priorities shift quickly, and you can maintain quality and accuracy under tight timeframes.
Qualifications in Communications or a similar relevant field would also be highly regarded.
