

The Executive Director will lead and manage end-to-end valuations and NAV oversight for JPMAME’s alternative products across illiquid strategies (e.g., private equity, real estate, infrastructure, real assets, private credit). The role requires deep technical expertise in valuation methodologies and governance, strong Luxembourg regulatory knowhow, and proven managerial and people leadership across locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end valuation governance across alternative funds, including valuation committee materials, challenge, escalation, and decision documentation.
Challenge valuation recommendations, methodologies and models (e.g., DCF, market/transaction comps, cost approach, enterprise valuation, waterfall allocations) and ensure appropriate application by asset type/strategy.
Own NAV oversight controls and service provider management, including ongoing service reviews and performance management of fund administrators and other vendors.
Own policies, procedures, and operating model documentation (charters, SLAs, etc.) and ensure consistent implementation across products and locations.
Manage control reviews, audits, and regulatory readiness, including remediation of findings and handling regulatory/audit follow-ups and deliverables.
Deliver senior governance reporting and stakeholder engagement, presenting outcomes, issues, and remediation plans to senior management, boards, and governance bodies; engage with regulators as needed.
Lead the multi-location team (Luxembourg and Bangalore) and drive improvements through automation/technology and efficiency initiatives and support product launches and onboarding.
Required Experience, Competencies and Skills:
Required Experience
10+ years of experience in the fund industry with significant exposure to Luxembourg alternative fund structures and operating models.
Strong track record in alternatives valuation governance and NAV oversight, with demonstrated experience leading valuation committees, including challenge, escalation, and decision documentation.
Proven people leadership experience managing teams across locations and time zones and ensuring consistent delivery of team deliverables.
Demonstrated ability to manage internal (product and investment teams, controllers, valuation support functions) and external service providers (fund administrators, depositaries, pricing vendors, auditors) and complex stakeholder relationships.
Technical / Regulatory Knowledge Requirements
Technical capability and experience in the application of fair valuation principles and valuation approaches and model challenge, including DCF, market/transaction comps, cost approach, enterprise valuation, and waterfall allocations.
Knowledge of relevant valuation guidance/standards and multi-GAAP environments (e.g., IPEV, IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP) as applicable to alternatives funds.
Strong knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory framework and expectations impacting valuation and oversight, including AIFMD and CSSF requirements and circulars (and related regulatory developments).
Strong controls mindset across valuation governance, NAV oversight, and audit and regulatory readiness.
