As a Vice President within the Procurement Operations team, you lead sourcing execution and elevate commercial outcomes across the deal lifecycle. You drive supplier due diligence, demand challenge, techno-commercial evaluation, and contract negotiations within firm risk frameworks through approvals, execution, and onboarding. You lead and develop a team while influencing senior stakeholders to deliver category strategies, vendor rationalization, channel compliance, and P&L savings.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead procurement strategy and planning using analytics, market intelligence, and benchmarking to set direction and measure performance
- Own category management deliverables including spend insights, TPO inputs, and market assessments to build sourcing roadmaps
- Execute end-to-end sourcing for significant transactions from scoping and due diligence through competitive events and supplier selection
- Evaluate techno-commercial proposals to identify best overall value and produce stakeholder recommendations
- Negotiate contract and commercial terms to strengthen MSA/SLA coverage and deliver savings realized to the P&L
- Navigate approvals and finalize contracts in alignment with Legal, Risk/Third-Party Oversight, Finance, and procurement policies
- Ensure compliance with ADA, Secondary Data Use Restrictions, and purchasing channel requirements across sourcing activities
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align demand, rationalize vendors, and improve channel adherence
- Monitor vendor performance and SLA delivery while coordinating issue resolution and continuous optimization
- Manage supplier risk within firm frameworks while leveraging global buying power and coordinating with global category leads
- Coach and develop sourcing professionals while overseeing the sourcing book of work and driving continuous improvement
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field
- Demonstrate 10+ years managing third-party providers, category/commodity spend, and complex sourcing programs
- Apply deep business services sourcing and contracting expertise in banking/financial services or regulated environments
- Perform advanced analytics and financial modeling (e.g., TCO, value streams, cost drivers) to lead evaluations and due diligence
- Leverage advanced Excel skills and Ariba or comparable e-sourcing/procurement platforms
- Negotiate measurable savings and improved commercial and contractual outcomes across complex deals
- Lead teams and stakeholders through executive-level influence, strong communication, and disciplined program/project management
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Earn an advanced degree and/or professional certifications such as MBA, CPSM, or CIPS
- Lead multi-region or global sourcing initiatives in close partnership with global category leads
- Deliver sustained commercial impact through P&L savings and optimized EPD-enabled spend
- Leverage market intelligence and benchmarking to strengthen category strategies and negotiation positions
- Improve MSA/SLA structures and contracting practices across complex vendor portfolios
