About This Role
We’re seeking a Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to modernize our infrastructure and mentor our growing engineering team. You’ll lead infrastructure improvements across all our products while helping junior and mid-level engineers develop platform engineering thinking.
This role is 50% hands-on infrastructure work and 50% mentorship/technical leadership.
What You’ll Do
Infrastructure Modernization (50%) - Audit current AWS infrastructure and identify optimization opportunities – Redesign network architecture as IAC enabled (Ansible for network automation, Terraform for cloud) - Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) across all environments - Modernize CI/CD pipelines (currently using GitHub Actions; opportunity to optimize) - Design employment automation strategies - Establish monitoring, logging, and observability standards - Lead infrastructure security improvements
Technical Mentorship (50%) - Establish platform engineering standards and best practices - Conduct code reviews and architectural assessments - Pair program with junior/mid-level engineers on complex infrastructure problems - Guide architectural decisions across projects - Build platform engineering culture in the organization
