ROLE OVERVIEW
The Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator holds a pivotal operational role within the Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs function. The role is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of digital marketing initiatives, social media management, website content updates, analytics reporting, publicity asset coordination, and festival and event activity.
The postholder will provide high-quality, detail-oriented operational support across digital marketing, communications, social platforms, online channels, analytics, publicity asset management, and event coordination. This includes ensuring timely and accurate content publication, robust reporting and insights, effective logistical planning, and strong administrative governance aligned with departmental objectives.
Operating in a dynamic environment, the role requires flexibility and the capacity to contribute across functional areas in response to evolving organisational priorities. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs, the postholder will work collaboratively across internal teams and engage professionally with external stakeholders, ensuring integrated delivery and consistent brand representation.

FUNCTION OVERVIEW
The Marketing, Communications, and Public Affairs function at Screen Ireland develops and implements communication strategies that align with Screen Ireland’s goals and ensures a cohesive brand presence. It leads marketing and media campaigns to promote the Irish creative screen industries, manages public relations activities, handles media queries, and secures media coverage. This function builds relationships with international festivals, represents Ireland globally, and oversees Screen Ireland’s presence at key events. It fosters strong stakeholder relationships, promotes cross-functional collaboration, and engages employees through effective internal communication. Additionally, it monitors legislative developments, manages procurement and financial activities, and contributes to strategic initiatives with the Executive team.
JOB GRADE / REPORTING LINE
It is anticipated that in order to have the required skills and competencies, the Executive Officer post will be at the First Point level.
This role reports to the Head of Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs, supports the Marketing Executive and the Digital Marketing and Communications Executive, to ensure effective communication and team synergy. Reporting structures may be reviewed periodically to reflect business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Digital Marketing and Communications Executive in the following area: Digital Marketing & Social Media Support- Support the planning and delivery of digital marketing activity across Screen Ireland's channels.
- Upload and schedule social media posts, ensuring consistent branding and tone.
- Assist with basic content creation, image editing, formatting and resizing digital assets.
- Draft short form copies for digital channels in line with Screen Ireland messaging.
- Monitor engagement and flag trends or issues to senior colleagues.
Website & Online Communications- Update and maintain content across ScreenIreland.ie, WhereToWatch.com, the Short Film Channel and other digital platforms.
- Act as the primary coordinator for the monthly website SLA, ensuring updates and fixes are logged, prioritised and completed.
- Upload news items, project details, industry notices, statements and other content as requested.
- Ensure website content adheres to accessibility, Irish language and brand requirements.
Publicity Assets & Materials Management- Coordinate the receipt, cataloguing and distribution of publicity materials, stills, trailers, artwork and other digital assets for Screen Ireland-funded projects.
- Liaise with distributors, producers and partners to ensure timely delivery and correct versioning of assets.
- Maintain organised digital filing systems and shared folders for all marketing and publicity materials.
Communications & Newsletter Support- Support the distribution of monthly newsletters and bulletins, including formatting content, preparing lists and managing Mailchimp processes.
- Assist in drafting and uploading content to newsletters and industry notices.
- Maintain contact databases and ensure lists are accurate and GDPR-compliant.
Analytics & Reporting- Produce monthly analytics reports for website performance, social media engagement, email campaigns and online activity.
- Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools used to assess trends and inform departmental planning.
- Monitor digital performance and highlight insights or issues for escalation.
Supporting the Marketing Executive in the following areas:International Festivals & Markets Support- Assist in managing Screen Ireland’s digital presence at international festivals and markets, ensuring online profiles, assets and listings are accurate.
- Working with the Screen Ireland’s supported short film teams across the digital promotion of the films.
- Support for festival logistics, materials preparation, and communications updates.
- Maintain festival schedules, trackers and contact lists.
Events & Logistics Support- Assist with event preparations, including RSVPs, AV requirements, guest lists and on-site support.
- Help prepare digital and AV materials for events, screenings, launches and international activities.
Administrative Support- Process purchase orders, invoices and procurement documentation related to digital marketing and communications.
- Maintain trackers, calendars, shared folders and digital logs to support campaign planning and workflow.
- Ensure administrative processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with internal procedures.

- At least three years’ experience in a digital marketing, communications, project coordination role.
- Strong digital literacy, including experience with CMS platforms, social media tools, email marketing systems and/or analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with the following communication tools: Expression Engine Content Management System, Canva, Mailchimp, and RSVPify.
- Demonstrated with the adobe suite of graphic design tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

Tá an Comhordaitheoir freagrach as tacaíocht a thabhairt d’fhorfheidhmiú éifeachtach na dtionscnamh margaíochta digití, na meáin shóisialta a bhainistiú, nuashonruithe a dhéanamh ar ábhar an tsuímh gréasáin, tuairisciú anailísíochta, sócmhainní poiblíochta a chomhordú, agus gníomhaíochtaí féilte agus imeachtaí a sheachadadh.
Cuirfidh an té a cheapfar sa phost tacaíocht oibríochtúil atá mionsonraithe agus ar ardchaighdeán ar fáil i dtaca leis an margaíocht dhigiteach, leis an gcumarsáid, le hardáin shóisialta, le cainéil ar líne, le hanailísíocht, le bainistíocht sócmhainní poiblíochta, agus le comhordú imeachtaí. Mar chuid de seo, ní mór don Chomhordaitheoir a chinntiú go bhfoilseofar ábhar go tráthúil agus go cruinn, go mbeidh tuairisciú agus léargas láidir ar fáil, go ndéanfar pleanáil éifeachtach lóistíochta, agus go gcoinneofar rialachas láidir riaracháin atá ag teacht le cuspóirí na roinne.

Beidh sealbhóir an phoist freagrach don Cheannasaí Cumarsáide, Margaíochta agus Gnóthaí Poiblí, oibreoidh sé nó sí i gcomhar le foirne inmheánacha agus pléifidh sé nó sí go gairmiúil le páirtithe leasmhara seachtracha, ag cinntiú seachadadh comhtháite agus léiriú comhsheasmhach ar an mbranda.
D’fhéadfadh forbairt teacht ar scóip an róil de réir thosaíochtaí straitéiseacha agus fhás na heagraíochta.
Beidh an té a cheapfar freagrach don Cheannasaí Cumarsáide, Margaíochta agus Gnóthaí Poiblí agus d’fhéadfadh sé go bhforbrófaí an ról i gcomhréir le tosaíochtaí na heagraíochta.
FORBHREATHNÚ AR AN bhFEIDHM
Déanann feidhm na Margaíochta, na Cumarsáide agus na nGnóthaí Poiblí i bhFís Éireann straitéisí cumarsáide a fhorbairt agus a chur i bhfeidhm a thagann le spriocanna Fhís Éireann agus a chinntíonn láithreacht chomhtháite an bhranda. Treoraítear feachtais mhargaíochta agus na meán chun tionscail chruthaitheacha físe na hÉireann a chur chun cinn, bainistítear gníomhaíochtaí caidrimh phoiblí, tugtar aghaidh ar cheisteanna ó na meáin agus cinntítear clúdach ón bpreas mar chuid den fheidhm seo. Tógtar caidrimh le féilte idirnáisiúnta, a dhéanann ionadaíocht d’Éirinn ar fud an domhain, agus déantar maoirseacht ar láithreacht Fhís Éireann ag príomhócáidí mar chuid den fheidhm seo. Cothaítear caidrimh láidre le páirtithe leasmhara, cuirtear comhoibriú ilréimseach chun cinn, agus spreagtar fostaithe trí chumarsáid inmheánach éifeachtach mar chuid den fheidhm seo. AN PRÓISEAS ROGHNÚCHÁINIs féidir go n‑áireofar ceann amháin nó níos mó de na céimeanna seo a leanas sa phróiseas roghnúcháin do róil laistigh d’Fhís Éireann:
- Gearrliostú iarrthóirí bunaithe ar an bhfaisnéis a soláthraíodh ina n‑iarratas (CV agus litir chumhdaigh).
- Cleachtadh nó measúnú scríofa, agus is féidir go reáchtálfar sin ar líne nó i láthair go pearsanta.
- Cur i láthair nó cleachtaí eile atá ábhartha maidir leis an ról.
- Agallamh nó agallaimh, a dhéantar ar líne nó i láthair go pearsanta.
- Samplaí oibre nó tástálacha nó measúnuithe eile a mheastar a bheith iomchuí don phost.
I gcás iarrthóirí dár tugadh cuireadh páirt a ghlacadh in aon chéim den phróiseas, soláthrófar sonraí iomlána dóibh roimh ré. Is faoi na hiarrthóirí atá sé a chinntiú go mbeidh a gcuid sonraí teagmhála cruinn agus cothrom le dáta.
