Role purpose
Lead and own commercial strategy across a product portfolio, from early-stage planning through to launch and in-market performance, ensuring strong positioning, effective execution and delivery against business objectives.
Key responsibilities
Commercial strategy & planning
- Own and manage business cases, including pricing, volume forecasts and financial performance
- Define product and portfolio positioning, value proposition and target audiences
- Establish clear go-to-market strategy and commercial frameworks to guide execution
- Translate consumer, market and commercial insights into actionable strategies
Launch execution
- Lead commercial readiness for new product launches across markets
- Define and align pricing, product range and go-to-market approach
- Ensure readiness at key milestones and manage risks related to pricing, timelines and product proposition
- Drive cross-functional decision-making to ensure aligned and timely execution
Cross-functional leadership
- Act as the central commercial lead across marketing, sales, operations and other functions
- Set direction for execution across markets and channels, ensuring consistency and quality
- Develop clear briefs and guidance to enable effective delivery by downstream teams
Market & competitive insight
- Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour and competitor activity to inform strategy
- Use insights to refine positioning and strengthen commercial performance
Performance & lifecycle management
- Own delivery against business case assumptions and commercial targets
- Identify improvement opportunities and lead actions to optimise performance
- Capture and apply learnings to inform future product and portfolio strategy
Leadership & impact
- Provide senior leadership with clear, data-led recommendations on strategy, risks and priorities
- Influence stakeholders to align on commercial direction and deliver business outcomes
Skills & experience
- Experience in commercial strategy, category management or product marketing
- Strong financial and analytical capability
- Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders
- Track record of delivering product launches and go-to-market strategies
- Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, global environments
