About the RoleThe Network & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, build, and delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable network and infrastructure services across on premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role supports enterprise platforms including network, compute, storage, virtualisation, and cloud services, ensuring reliable connectivity, performance, and operational stability across global locations. The Network & Infrastructure Engineer works closely with Security, Applications, and Service Operations teams to deliver new capabilities, improve reliability, and support major technology transformation initiatives. This role provides engineering support across APAC and EMEA regions, working effectively across time zones and collaborating with globally distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities Network & Infrastructure Engineering - Design, build, and implement enterprise network and infrastructure solutions including LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, virtualisation, compute, and storage platforms.
- Deliver network components for datacentre, cloud, and hybrid initiatives, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Implement upgrades and lifecycle refresh activities across network, server, storage, and virtual platforms.
- Support integration of on premise infrastructure with Azure, AWS, and SaaS platforms, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, identity integration, and secure access patterns.
Cloud & Hybrid Platform Enablement- Build and maintain network and infrastructure connectivity for cloud based platforms and hybrid environments.
- Contribute to cloud landing zone designs, including network segmentation, routing, security controls, and platform connectivity.
- Support virtual machine, storage, and platform deployments across on premise and cloud environments.
- Work closely with Service Delivery teams to ensure infrastructure designs meet availability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency requirements.
Operational Support & Stability- Provide Level 3 engineering support for complex network incidents and problems.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem management to reduce recurring incidents.
- Ensure network services are supportable, well documented, and effectively transitioned into BAU operations.
- Support out of hours or on call activities where required for major incidents or planned works.
Security, Risk & Compliance - Ensure network designs align with enterprise security, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Work with Information Security teams to implement secure configurations, firewall policies, segmentation, hardening standards, and access controls.
- Support audit, resilience, backup, and business continuity requirements from both network and infrastructure perspectives.
- Identify and remediate technical risk across the estate.
- Standards, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain network standards, build documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and configuration records.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform resilience, standardisation, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to reducing key person dependency through knowledge sharing and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and service delivery.
Stakeholder & Delivery Engagement - Work closely with project teams, architects, infrastructure engineers, and Service Delivery to meet agreed delivery outcomes.
- Provide clear technical input, estimates, and implementation plans for infrastructure and network initiatives.
- Collaborate across global teams to deliver consistent and reliable services across regions.

Key Skills & Experience Essential - Hands on experience with enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security concepts.
- Strong hands on experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, firewalls, and network security concepts.
- Experience designing and implementing networks in cloud and hybrid environments (Azure and/or AWS).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing protocols, VPNs, and segmentation.
- Experience supporting production infrastructure and networks in global or multi region environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders across regions.
Desirable - Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, Dell, VMware, or equivalent enterprise platforms.
- Exposure to Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, site to site VPNs, and cloud networking patterns.
- Knowledge of zero trust, SASE, or modern infrastructure security models.
- Experience working in ITIL aligned change, incident, and problem management environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, or Azure/AWS networking certifications.
