What’s the role?
You’ll play a key role in supporting company secretarial services across Westpac Group subsidiaries, contributing to strong governance, regulatory compliance, and high-quality board operations
Key responsibilities
- Support subsidiary governance activities, including board and committee processes
- Coordinate board meetings, prepare agendas, papers, minutes and resolutions
- Manage regulatory lodgements and statutory filings (ASIC)
- Maintain accurate company records and registers through Diligent Entities
- Assist with ASX and international stock exchange announcements
- Support statutory reporting, annual reviews and governance processes
- Contribute to improving Secretariat processes, controls and systems
- Engage with senior stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Finance and the broader business
What do I need?
- Experience in company secretariat or governance roles, ideally within financial services
- Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory obligations (ASIC)
- Knowledge of board and committee processes, including preparation of papers and minutes
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and handling sensitive information
- Strong written and communication skills
- Experience with Diligent Entities/Boards or similar systems is advantageous
