Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in solution engineering or architecture as well as stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting.
- Experience in delivering and developing customer-facing services with Cloud adoption, IT transformation, Data and Cloud Migration programs.
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Mongo, Cassandra, DynamoDB, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience driving the development of technical solutions that address critical business challenges, partnering with cross-functional and technical teams.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager) for automated infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.) in production environments.
- Experience with reading software code in one or more languages (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python).
- Experience with data modeling, data governance, and data quality management.
- Knowledge of building and operationalizing data pipelines.

As a Cloud Platforms and Data Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping Google Cloud clients in Sub-Saharan Africa modernize their infrastructure and achieve their business objectives through successful cloud adoption. You will be a technical leader and trusted advisor, driving complex migration projects and contributing to the growth of the Google Cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Work with customer technical leads, client executives, and partners to manage and deliver successful infrastructure- and data-focused implementations and migrations to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Manage the deployment of cloud-based distributed virtualized infrastructure solutions. Translate complex customer data requirements into recommendations. Develop and document best practices for data migration, data warehousing, and data analytics on GCP. Contribute to the development of standardized solutions and automation scripts.
- Lead the program management of multifunctional large GCP Professional Services projects. Proactively manage risks, issues, and actions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of infrastructure and cloud migration phases.
- Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks/issues, and timelines.
