Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

The Manager: Digital & Cloud Security is responsible for delivering technical security solution designs, reference architectures, and security configuration standards for Digital, Cloud and Security  Technology across the Group. The manager will also be integral to enabling Security Capabilities to support the Digital and Cloud Adoption, and enablement. These include Customer Identity & Access Management, API Security, Mobile, Application, API and Web Security Capabilities that are critical to enabling business services.

The Manager Digital & Cloud Security will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:
-    Implement and enable Digital, Cloud and Security Architectures (people, processes, technology);
-    Responsible for the design and implementation of technical architectures
-    Lead and participate in group wide Security programs to enable security Capabilities 
-    Support OPCOs with digital, cloud and security technical security solution designs and implementation 
-    Determine a holistic view of technical security requirements on MTN digital cloud and supporting security capabilities by evaluating current security operations and requirements; researching digital cloud security standards; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues and preparing cost estimates;
-    Evaluate outsourced digital cloud and security integrations to ensure they provide adequate protection for the processing, transmission, and storage of data
-    Manage the development of security architectural and development standards for all components of the MTN digital cloud and Security Aechitecture.
-    Ensure a standardized and aligned approach driven from Group Information Security for digital cloud and security architecture across the Group. 
-    Assist with management of budgets in line with business objectives and facilitate forecasting.
-    Manage project initiative budgets in line with business objectives; and
-    Assist Senior Management to develop and implement the overall digital cloud, security architecture and strategy.
-    Responsible for the development and implementation of the mobile application security architecture.
-    Roadmap definitions for mobile, web, & Api applications , and  security systems by monitoring security environment; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements.
-    Responsible for the implementation and ongoing compliance of key Digital Cloud and Security Solutions
-    Responsible for the implementation of Security Technology and related process controls to address Cloud, Mobile Application and Api Risks
-    Perform best-practices risk assessment and Security Quality Assurance of the MTN Digital Cloud and Security Platforms

-    Active support from the General Manager: Information Security Architecture and Technical Excellence 
-    Opco LISO’s, Regional Coordinators, Governance Forums, Business Risk, Compliance
-    Information Technology
-    Cyber Security Team
-    Deep understanding of the MTN business strategy 
-    Understanding of the OpCo technology, business and regulatory context
-    Alignment of OpCo and Group strategy initiatives

Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

Education:
-    Minimum of 3-4 years tertiary qualification 
-    Industry Certifications CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, SABSA

Experience:
-    3-5 years of relevant work experience in Information Security Operations or Architecture
-    Experience in designing and implementing federated information security systems architecture
-    Experience in managing and implementing security projects
-    Experience working in Africa and Multi-National organisations 
-    Financial and/or telecom Experience
