Position Summary
The Career Coach is responsible for identifying, assessing, and preparing participants for employment opportunities through individualized career coaching, recruitment support, and workforce development services. This role manages a caseload focusing on participant engagement, job readiness, and placement outcomes. The Career Coach works closely with Account Managers to match qualified participants with available job opportunities and support placement outcomes and workforce success.
Essential Functions
- Manage a diverse caseload of participants, providing individualized career guidance and recruitment support throughout the hiring process.
- Conduct interview to complete the comprehensive job readiness form and evaluate participant skills, work experience, career interests, job readiness, and barriers to employment.
- Screen and refer participants to employment opportunities based on employer hiring needs, qualifications, and workforce program requirements.
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions and maintain consistent communication with participants through phone outreach, email engagement, workshops, and recruitment activities.
- Deliver job readiness and career development training, including resume preparation, interview coaching, job search strategies, and workplace professionalism.
- Assess participants’ readiness and match qualified participants to appropriate employment opportunities in collaboration with Account Managers and management.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified participants across various industries and employment sectors.
- Coordinate closely with Account Managers and PACE staff to support hiring needs, participants referrals, interview scheduling, and placement activities.
- Support recruitment initiatives by participating in hiring events, job fairs, information sessions, and employer engagement activities.
- Track participant progress throughout the recruitment and placement process, including training completion, interview activity, job placement, and retention milestones.
- Meet or exceed established performance goals related to participants engagement, job readiness, interviews, placements, and retention outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case noting, uploading documents, assessments, placements, and employment outcomes within Zoho and Seams system.
- Ensure all participant records, employment information, and service activities are in compliance with program guidelines and processes.
- Follow program guidelines and compliance standards related to workforce funding.
- Performs other job duties as assigned by NADAP management.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required. Bachelors preferred or equivalent workforce development experience.
- 1+ years’ experience working in case management, career counseling or recruitment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
- Demonstrated telephone, computer and written communication skills.
- Sales or marketing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, Mandarin or Creole languages a plus.
Position is full time onsite in Brooklyn.
Salary $60,000
