What You’ll Do:
As the Area Director of Sales, you will lead the sales strategy and revenue generation efforts for a portfolio of hotels. This role is responsible for driving top-line revenue performance, developing strategic business partnerships, and supporting property-level sales initiatives across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in hotel sales leadership and knowledgeable in both Wyndham and Choice brand systems and sales processes.
Here are just a few of the responsibilities you’ll oversee daily:
- Lead and direct the sales efforts for multiple hotel properties within the assigned market.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to solicit new business and grow existing accounts.
- Support hotels in achieving revenue goals through proactive sales activities and market analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, local businesses, and community partners.
- Conduct regular property visits and collaborate closely with Operations and General Managers.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and business patterns to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, pace reports, and business development updates.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and support on-property sales leaders and sales teams.
- Assist with RFP responses, brand initiatives, and revenue strategy discussions.
- Represent the hotels at networking events, trade shows, and client meetings as needed.
Where You’ve Been:
We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience, preferably overseeing multiple properties.
- Strong experience with Wyndham and/or Choice branded hotels.
- Proven success driving revenue growth and building market share.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong understanding of hotel sales systems, reporting, and market analytics.
