Senior Information Risk Specialist - Disaster Recovery CoE, Information Risk Management

Global Information Risk Management (GIRM) is an independent risk function that provides risk and controls guidance to a variety of stakeholders that information risks are appropriately managed and in alignment with risk appetite. GIRM is responsible for providing independent oversight of policies, procedures and standards concerning the measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of information risks.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of DR CoE under Global Information Risk Management, this Senior Information Risk Specialist role will support the Disaster Recovery Center of Excellence (DR CoE) of GIRM. It will be responsible for executing independent oversight activities related to disaster recovery (DR) testing, documentation, and issue tracking. This role works closely with the Disaster Recovery Practice Area (DR PA), and segment Information Risk Officer (IRO) teams to ensure consistent, high-quality oversight aligned to the Disaster Recovery Standard.

This role focuses on hands-on execution, analysis, and documentation while contributing to the continuous improvement of DR oversight processes.

Position Responsibilities:

Disaster Recovery Oversight Execution
•    Perform independent reviews and challenges of disaster recovery tests and related evidence.
•    Document observations, outcomes, and conclusions clearly and accurately in central repositories.
•    Support the intake, prioritization, and tracking of DR activities requiring CoE oversight.
•    Follow up with business partners on remediation actions and corrective action plans (CAPs).

Stakeholder Collaboration
•    Work closely with DR PA, segment IRO teams, and DR coordinators to gather required information and clarify expectations.
•    Support engagement with business partners to communicate oversight findings and timelines.

Reporting and Metrics
•    Contribute to DR CoE performance reporting, including metrics on testing outcomes, gaps, and remediation status.
•    Assist in maintaining reporting templates and tracking tools used by the CoE.

Process and Governance Support
•    Adhere to DR CoE standard operating procedures (SOPs), SLAs, and defined KPIs.
•    Provide input and recommendations to improve oversight processes, documentation standards, and tracking mechanisms.

Required qualifications:
•    Minimum 5–7 years of experience in information risk management with demonstrated exposure to disaster recovery risks and controls
•    Strong working knowledge of disaster recovery concepts, testing methodologies, and recovery of infrastructure and applications
•    Understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational risk tools such as RCSA, incidents, losses, and root cause analysis
•    Proficiency in MS Office; experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI is a plus
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities with limited oversight
•    University undergraduate degree

•    Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
•    Certified Business Resilience IT Professional (CBRITP)
•    CISA, CISM, CISSP, or CRISC
