ChildCare (Cert III) Educator | KU Wombarra Preschool (2 days)

The Service

Overlooking the ocean and Wombarra Beach, this beautiful 30 place preschool service offers children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities, each specifically designed to promote children’s confidence as capable, active participants in their own learning. 

At KU Wombarra our special interest is in Nature Play. We have a beautiful bush garden, vegetable patch, running water creek bed, trees to climb, mud to dig in and rocks and logs to support children to develop confidence in their bodies. We are surround by nature wherever we look whether it be watching the whales passing during the migration or looking out for visitors in our garden including water dragons, a blue tongue lizard and frogs as well as night-time visitors including possums and bandicoots.

The Role 

Fixed term position until 2028 working Thursday and Friday 7.6 hours per day. You will also have the opportunity to work casually as well if extra hours are desired. 

We are looking for educators with a completed certificate III qualification that values partnering with families, builds strong & genuine relationships with children and can work well within in team.

It is benefical if you have experience supporting sustainability and environmental learning in early childhood education, using nature play approaches, creating supportive play-based environments, and promoting inclusive practices for all children.

Of course, you will need:

• Australian working rights
• A current Working with Children Check
• An ACECQA recognised Certificate III
• Completed training in Child Protection and National Child Safety Training completed in Geccko
• Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
• Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
