Part-time (50% FTE), fixed term, HEW Level 7 position through to 11 December 2026
Base salary will range from $104,616 - $113,920 (full-time equivalent) + 17% Superannuation
Based at our vibrant St Lucia campus
We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Educator in Occupational Therapy to play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of occupational therapists through high‑quality clinical education. Working within the Telerehabilitation Clinic at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, this role contributes to innovative, student‑centred learning in clinical and practical settings, while supporting evidence‑based practice and strong industry partnerships.
Key responsibilities will include:
Facilitating and supervising individual and group occupational therapy students in profession‑specific and inter‑professional clinical practice, including telerehabilitation
Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on student clinical skill development using profession‑specific tools and criteria, and supporting student‑led professional development activities
Guiding and delivering evidence‑based occupational therapy interventions for paediatric and school‑based clients, ensuring high‑quality, safe and sustainable services
Contributing to curriculum development, innovative clinical education models, research activity and the School’s engagement with industry, government and professional bodies
Due to the operational needs of the clinic, the successful applicant will be required to work on-site at the St Lucia campus on a Thursday and Friday, with the remaining hours to be completed on a Wednesday (a work from home arrangement may be considered for these hours on Wednesday).
Please note, the contract end date is based on current funding arrangements. Usual discussions will occur prior to this date as to the continuation of this funding and this position.
Qualifications equivalent to an undergraduate or graduate‑entry degree in occupational therapy, with at least four years of subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated recency and currency of advanced occupational therapy practice in paediatric and school‑based settings, including telerehabilitation
Proven capability as an effective clinical educator, including student supervision, assessment, feedback and contribution to blended clinical education models
Ability to develop and implement innovative approaches to clinical instruction that enhance student learning and professional capability
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across academic, clinical, industry and community contexts
High levels of initiative, autonomy and digital capability, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities
