Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role ensures that every guest experiences a comfortable, safe, and inviting stay.
• Clean and service guest rooms according to departmental standards, including:
o Vacuuming, dusting, wiping, and polishing surfaces.
o Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, showers, and toilets.
o Changing linens, making beds, and replenishing amenities.
o Removing trash and maintaining room organization and presentation.
• Ensure all assigned rooms meet cleanliness and inspection standards before guest entry.
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests.
• Make rollaway beds and deliver additional items as requested.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost and found items promptly.
• Complete deep-cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping cards, supply closets, and equipment.
• Update room status and receive assignments using departmental communication tools or mobile devices (if applicable).
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Participate in required safety and training programs.
• Housekeeping or environmental service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Ability to follow instructions, respond to feedback, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English is preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts based on business needs
• Overtime or additional hours may be required during high-volume periods.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the shift.
• Ability to maneuver through crowded casino areas and climb stairs as needed.
• Must be able to work in environments that may include:
o Exposure to secondary smoke
o High heat (exceeding 85 F)
o Cold temperatures (as low as 60 F)
• Ability to tolerate cleaning chemicals
• Ability to read and follow instructions on chemical labels and cleaning equipment.
• Continuous use of hands, finger movement, and wrist motion while cleaning.
Pay: $21 an hour
