About the Role:
- The Director, Product – Merchandising, Purchasing & Supply Chain is responsible for defining and leading the product strategy, roadmap, and execution across core merchandising, procurement, and supply chain capabilities.
- This role will drive a domain-led product operating model, partnering closely with business leaders to deliver measurable outcomes across inventory optimization, vendor management, merchandising operations, and end-to-end supply chain execution.
- The Director will lead a team of product managers and work cross-functionally with Engineering, Data, Enterprise Architecture, and PMO to deliver scalable, integrated solutions. A key focus will be leveraging and evolving SAP-based platforms and surrounding ecosystem to enable enterprise growth and operational efficiency.
- This position reports to the VP, Business Solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
Product Strategy & Leadership
- Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across Merchandising, Purchasing, and Supply Chain domains.
- Align product investments to business KPIs (Revenue, Margin, Efficiency).
- Establish a domain-led product model with clear ownership and accountability.
SAP Platform & Domain Ownership
- Lead product ownership across SAP S/4 (MM, SD integration touchpoints) and related supply chain systems.
- Ensure strong alignment between SAP core and surrounding platforms (WMS, TMS, planning, vendor systems).
- Partner with SAP COE and Architecture to drive platform governance, scalability, and roadmap alignment.
End-to-End Business Capability Delivery
Own key capabilities across:
- Merchandising (assortment, pricing, promotions).
- Purchasing & vendor management.
- Inventory and replenishment.
- Warehouse and transportation integration.
- Drive cross-system orchestration to enable seamless business processes.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Engineering, Data, Architecture, and PMO to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure early cross-functional alignment during planning and execution.
- Drive shared accountability across teams for delivery outcomes.
Execution & Delivery Excellence
- Oversee product execution, ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery.
- Drive prioritization based on business value, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
- Implement structured intake, planning, and backlog management processes.
Data & Decision Enablement
- Promote data-driven decision-making across merchandising and supply chain.
- Partner with Data teams to enable reporting, forecasting, and analytics capabilities.
- Ensure product decisions are backed by business cases and measurable outcomes.
Stakeholder & Change Leadership
- Act as a trusted partner to business leaders across Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Communicate product vision, roadmap, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
- Drive organizational alignment and adoption of new capabilities.
People Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of Product Managers.
- Develop strong internal product capability and reduce reliance on external vendors.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About The Pay:
- Base Salary Range: $165,000 - $185,000 Annually.

About You:
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, with leadership experience in retail, merchandising, purchasing, or supply chain domains.
- Strong experience working with SAP ERP (S/4 or ECC), particularly MM, SD, and related modules (required).
- Deep understanding of end-to-end processes including:
- Merchandising and assortment planning.
- Purchasing and vendor lifecycle.
- Inventory management and replenishment.
- Supply chain execution (WMS, TMS, logistics).
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional product initiatives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise system integrations, APIs, and data flows.
- Experience working in SAP-centric ecosystems with surrounding platforms (WMS, TMS, planning tools).
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into product execution.
- Experience building and leading high-performing product teams.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product operating models.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
