We are looking for a motivated professional to take on the role of Industry and CREST Manager, supporting CREST business activities in a dynamic environment.
This role requires understanding of both business and technology, with the ability (or willingness) to develop technical competence and become a subject matter expert (SME). The candidate will support the CREST plan and the Euroclear UK and International (EUI) Modernisation programme, contributing to key initiatives such as UK digitisation, T+1, and Stamp Duty modernisation.
You will work as part of a virtual CREST team, collaborating with our technology teams and wider business functions to deliver CREST commitments to Euroclear, regulators, and Issuer clients. The role may include first line support to custodians and presenting complex topics to stakeholders. We combine collaboration, technical capability, and market insight to adapt to industry change and deliver value across the business.
A role you will love
The Industry and CREST Manager supports CREST-related business activities, building knowledge across business and technology areas with the aim of becoming a subject matter expert (SME). The role contributes to the CREST plan and the Euroclear UK and International (EUI) Modernisation programme.
The position requires technical capability (or willingness to develop it) to support the CREST system, working with our technology teams to deliver technical activities and develop expertise.
As part of a virtual CREST team, the role supports Euroclear, regulators, and Issuer clients during a period of change, and may include first line support to custodians. It also supports senior leadership in tracking key market developments such as UK digitisation, T+1, and Stamp Duty modernisation, requiring strong collaboration and communication across stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of CREST-related business processes (including Gilts, Corporate Actions, Dividends, Proxy Voting, and Stock Deposits)
- Support key business events, migrations, and change programmes delivered by Euroclear and the business
- Support troubleshooting of CREST-related technical issues, working with CTS developers on short- and long-term solutions
- Participate in CREST system testing, including functional changes from Euroclear and internal CTS developments
- Act as one of the on-call contacts for the business and Euroclear for operational support and issue resolution
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Euroclear and industry partners
- Support analysis of market and regulatory developments, including legislation, consultations, and industry changes
What will you bring to the role?
We are looking for an experienced professional with strong expertise in financial services operations, CREST knowledge, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in registry, company secretarial, financial services, or a similar regulated industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex operational issues
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills across all levels (internal and external)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex information
Other key skills you will bring to the role:
- Intermediate understanding of CREST and related market infrastructure processes
- Experience supporting operational controls and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
- Ability to identify, assess, and support the resolution of technical and operational issues in complex systems
- Experience working in cross-functional environments involving business, technology, and operations teams
