Description
We are looking for a
Head of Indirect Procurement, who will take full accountability for developing and delivering a robust indirect procurement strategy that drives performance, innovation, efficiency, and compliance across the organisation. The successful candidate will lead procurement transformation, optimise supplier partnerships, and ensure alignment with operational requirements and FIA Cost Cap regulations.
Working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, commercial, and business support teams, you will establish procurement as a strategic enabler of competitive success.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the long-term indirect procurement strategy aligned to organisational performance ambitions
- Build and develop a scalable, modern procurement operating model suited to a fast-growing Formula 1 environment
- Drive procurement transformation through digital tools, enhanced data visibility, and process optimisation
- Lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contracting across multiple indirect spend categories
- Develop innovative category strategies that balance performance, agility, innovation, and cost efficiency
- Establish and manage a high-performing global supplier network capable of meeting Formula 1 standards and speed
- Implement robust supplier performance management, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive cost optimisation and spend control while ensuring full compliance with FIA Cost Cap regulations and internal financial controls
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions to align procurement with business and performance objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement team focused on excellence, accountability, and collaboration
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven leadership experience in indirect procurement within a high-performance or fast-paced environment
- Strong track record of delivering procurement transformation, operational maturity, and measurable business value
- Experience managing complex, multi-category indirect procurement portfolios
- Demonstrated success in supplier performance improvement, cost optimisation, and value creation initiatives
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to support decision-making
- Ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure and deliver results to demanding timescales
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline preferred; CIPS and/or MBA advantageous
